Disclaimer: I received the Earth Mama Organics Wild Peppermint Hand & Body Wash as a complimentary product to try, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

What drew me to try this product was that it’s a castile soap. As a “crunchy mom,” I tend to look for more natural products, with ingredients I can read and feel great about—without all those toxic chemicals. I was excited to see that the ingredients in this soap are:

Ingredients:
Water (Aqua), Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil*, Aloe barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf*, Potassium Hydroxide+, Vegetable glycerin*, Mentha arvensis (Cornmint) Oil*, Butyrospermum parkii (Shea) Butter*, Mentha piperita (Peppermint) Oil*, Calendula officinalis (Flower) Extract*, Citric Acid+

Scent & Sensitivity
On a scale of 0 to 10, with 10 being too strong and 0 being hardly noticeable, I’d rate the peppermint scent at about a 6. It’s noticeable but not overpowering, which is great because I’m currently pregnant, and many scents have been too intense for me. Some hand soaps make me gag, but this one was gentle enough to use without feeling overwhelmed.

Texture & Feel
When you first pump out the foam, it’s really smooth, and the amount dispensed is just right. After rinsing, it does leave my skin feeling a little dry, but not excessively so. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being too dry and 1 not dry at all, I’d rate it a 6. It’s manageable, especially since I tend to moisturize right after.

Daily Use & Versatility
I’ve been using this hand/body wash for about a month now, primarily for handwashing, but I also tried it as a body wash since it’s designed for both. The minty scent leaves you feeling refreshed, and the cooling sensation is nice. One thing I really appreciate is that the scent doesn’t linger long after use, which is a plus.

Key Ingredients
The standout ingredients for me are the shea butter, peppermint, and calendula. The peppermint, in particular, was a lifesaver with my pregnancy nausea. It helped keep me from feeling queasy, which many other hand soaps triggered. This has quickly become my go-to soap.

Skin Benefits
I’ve noticed that my hands not only feel cleaner but also smoother after each use, despite the slight dryness. I always moisturize after drying my hands, which balances things out.

Recommendation for Parents
If you’re a parent or mom-to-be, I highly recommend giving this soap a try—especially if you’re dealing with nausea, as peppermint can help keep it at bay. It’s also a perfect size to bring along in your potty-training essentials bag. Public restroom soaps are often full of harsh chemicals and strong scents to cut costs, but this soap is gentle on both your skin and your little one’s hands. My daughter is prone to eczema, and the soaps in public restrooms often trigger flare-ups, but this gentle option works beautifully for her.

Final Thoughts
I’d definitely love to try other scents, like Lavender, Sweet Orange, and Unscented. I feel like they would make great alternatives to standard body washes and hand soaps, whether for travel or at home.
